New Windows Vista DVD Maker
Short introduction
By Lisa Simpson
Recently I started to use New Windows Vista
operating system for evaluation. It is supposed
to come out on the market soon. I noticed in the
new operating system many new features,
including Windows DVD maker, that allows users
to burn homemade DVD's, that never was included
in Windows before.
When I opened the application, that visually
looks really simple, I discovered, that it
offers many useful functions, as adding pictures
to your DVD as a slideshow, built in menu
templates for you DVD, and lots more.
If we look at the menu templates in Windows DVD
maker we can see that they are really well made,
including motion backgrounds and
custom text or music.
If you want to customize your Windows DVD Maker
menu templates, you have to be sure, that your
music, that you want to add to the menu is in
*.wma format, it will not support other types of
files. In your menu templates you can add custom
titles, change color and fonts, DVD menu link
buttons and names.
Windows Vista DVD Maker supports various file
formats for video, including but I have to
admit, that not all formats, that are supported
by other DVD authoring software. It's probably
because Windows Vista DVD Maker is new
feature in Windows operating system, and other
support for other file types hopefully will come
soon.
Overall New Features in Windows Vista, including
Windows DVD Maker are grate, only I think they
are not ready for big audience yet, because when
you are working with the applications, you can
see, that your PC is struggling, your processor
is jumping up and down, your PC's memory is
nearly overloaded. Maybe my PC is not the best,
but 1 GB memory and 4000+MhZ Athlone processor
should be fine for the simple applications like
Windows DVD Maker or Notepad.
